At First, I Only Wanted to Keep My Job

Gu Xiao acquires an ancient book that can turn fiction into reality. All he wants is a little help: keeping the job he's about to lose.

But gradually, the world begins spiraling out of control...

Gu Xiao: “She died pretty horribly. How about giving her a chance to get revenge?”

The world: “Human weapons are completely ineffective against it. The countdown to the world's destruction has begun!”

Gu Xiao: “No, humanity should have a transcendent too. That should bring peace to the world, right?”

The world: “The arrival of the transcendent has caused supercriminals to emerge in droves. The countdown to the world's destruction has begun!”

Years later, looking at humanity, now transcendent as a whole, Gu Xiao can't help but explain: “It's not my fault! The world kept trying to destroy itself. All I wanted at first was to keep my job!”
