Cultivating Immortality as a Mortal in the Three Realms

The primordial world evolved, and time and space shifted. In the end, this gave rise to a vast cosmos in which the original Three Realms, three thousand central immortal realms, and countless mortal realms coexisted. A wandering soul from Earth was rescued by the Heavenly Lord Tongtian just as it was on the verge of vanishing. No one knew how many years passed before the Heavenly Lord Tongtian suddenly tossed him into a wager, thus beginning his path to immortal cultivation as a mortal. The road to immortality is long, and only the Dao endures. The mortal world is dazzling, yet mired in karma. Would he follow Tongtian's teachings, seize the workings of Heaven and Earth and the creation of the sun and moon, rise up, and overturn the Three Realms? Or would he follow only himself and his heart, walking his own path to immortality? The answers lie within this story. This is an unconventional cultivation journey, and a quiet, uneventful one spent in the company of solitude and loneliness. His path to immortality is not filled with endless battles, countless fellow cultivators and beautiful companions, or the stirring heroism that makes one's blood race. Instead, he leads a peaceful life among mountains and rivers, with flowers, birds, insects, and fish as his neighbors.
