Warhammer: In the Name of the Son of Heaven

This is a very thoughtful second-generation fan Warhammer novel. Personal opinion: The author should not pay attention to the negative comments, grasp this novel well, and carefully depict the story of Warhammer 40K with obvious Cathay elements, so that this space opera will have a different ending. Long live humanity!!!

I saw it on site B, how about this legion power armor?

Is the First Emperor the emperor's son? This is a bit unsatisfactory

Additional setting, this is the current symbol of the Cathay Heavenly Army

I haven't read it yet. There seems to be a book with a similar title on Cat. I hope it doesn't have two-dimensional elements. Warhammer is hopeless and dark. It's really inconsistent with the Japanese and two-dimensional elements. It doesn't have the elements of Genshin Impact and Star Dome Railway. After all, Warhammer IP has been cultivated for decades. Genshin Impact and Star Dome really lack the weight of Warhammer. They also have yandere and rancidity. They are completely different from Mo Zheng.

Why does this book feel like the Stitch Monster to me from the books next door? 🤔

After thinking about it carefully, I found that the author almost did not describe anything about the structure of the legion. According to the existing setting, the protagonist's legion has almost no characteristics, no good tactics, and no unique spirit. Most readers are attracted by the author's novel setting. Here are some trivial personal suggestions about the structure of the legion. The author can refer to it. If I made any mistakes or anyone has any ideas, please feel free to tell me. Of course, if it goes against the author's outline, then treat what I say as fart. Since the author intentionally wrote about a Mohist family that was different from the Mechanicus and a vast territory, it would be better to directly write about a legion of unprecedented scale, which can completely establish the almighty legion of the Second Empire. To reflect the ancient and long culture of China. Each company can specialize in different branches, such as a heavy infantry company equipped with Terminators, a company specializing in heavy cavalry (heavy tanks), a company with a large number of Mohist technical sergeants controlling various robots, a long-range company equipped with Zhuge's crossbows, ordinary jade warriors who resist the line, and so on. The unique legion culture is also part of the attraction. Each unit can be given a unique name, the power armor modified by the Mohists, the spiritual outlook of the legion, etc.

The creativity is very good, and the setting is very attractive to me, but the writing style is not satisfactory, and the feeling cannot be expressed in many places. It's also a bit regrettable that the characteristics of the legion are not outstanding.

It feels like the characters don't have their own personalities, or I can't tell. What is the personality of the protagonist, what are its strengths and weaknesses. What is the combat style of the protagonist's legion, what is his attitude towards mortals, and what is the atmosphere within the legion? After reading dozens of chapters, I feel that the characters are too stereotyped, have no outstanding characteristics, and have no points that impress the readers. Overall, there is still a lot of room for improvement.

I have been reading it for a few days since it was released. The advantage so far is that the setting is relatively novel, but other than that, it is gone. There are still many shortcomings. First of all, the writing is slow and dry, there are too many illogical sentences and paragraphs, there are a lot of nonsense, useless words, repeated emphasis and other problems. The narrative rhythm is very dry, basically a running account. Almost all the emotional breaking points designed by the author are difficult for people to empathize with. With this kind of writing style and only a few words updated every day, every time I read it, I feel like it is a waste of food and a pity to throw away. The second is the plot and character description, which are also very dry and stiff. The plot has never felt as cold and shocking as Warhammer. Of course, this has a certain impact because the plot has not entered the theme in the early days of the Great Crusade, but the bigger reason is that the description is too dry, with almost no details, and the shots are all focused on a few faces of the main characters. At this time, another problem will be highlighted: the description of the characters is thin and unrealistic. Almost all the characters have single-layer facial makeup and no fixed personality. The interaction and behavioral logic between the characters are full of deliberateness. Moreover, many main characters, especially the protagonist, have not formed a full and impressive personality. Many times, their behavior is contrary to the superficial personality that was about to be formed in the past. In terms of setting, although it is an advantage, it is obviously not able to support an excellent work. This setting actually gives people a sense of stitching that has been borrowed from many other works. Simply put, there are too many sewing things, and a hammer in the east and a mallet in the west give people a feeling of being too fancy and flashy. The most praiseworthy element of the setting is the element of the Chinese-style army, but it did not leave a particularly deep impression on people in the article. Except for some names using Chinese style, it is no different from an ordinary army. It does not express the spiritual culture or make people smile, such as resettling the land, worshiping ancestors, man can conquer heaven, and the princes and generals Xiangning has a talent for it is only mentioned at most. And things that book friends have mentioned in the comment area, such as how to lock down the organization, three people to set up a party branch, guerrilla warfare max, and historical stories, are even missing, so that the article lacks humor. In short, it can be seen that the author has an outline, but it will not work to just add some nonsense to the outline and just post it like this. Come on, author.
