Sunflowers by the Window

Song Yun was a bright, clever child from a remote mountain village in Liangzhou. Sadly, misfortune struck when a fever left him bedridden and paralyzed at the age of five.

In that backward little village, an unscrupulous barefoot doctor left Song Yun completely paralyzed.

Fortunately, his mother refused to give up. Two years later, the county health clinic finally came, and Song Yun’s paralysis was cured.

Though his paralysis was gone, A Yun was left permanently disabled. But he refused to accept his fate and studied with all his might. Even though he never made it to college, he used his knowledge and hard work to make a life for himself.

Who says disabled people have no future? Not only did he have one, he raised outstanding children and lived a more remarkable life than many able-bodied people.
