Her Majesty the Empress Always Wants to Abdicate

A Mo thought her path to becoming empress would end at fifteen, after years of playing with cats and dogs.

But fate had other plans. In the month of her fifteenth birthday, the Grand Secretariat wanted to confine her, her imperial uncle wanted to usurp her throne, her sworn brother wanted to seize her realm, and even the commoners in the streets wanted to rebel against her.

As for A Mo herself, she had nothing going for her except her maternal uncle's backing from Medicine God Valley, whose ancestral rules forbade its members from involving themselves in worldly affairs, and the title of emperor. Only then did she realize what a mess her doting, departed father had left her. All she wanted was to be a couch potato!

See how this spoiled empress brings the delicate Grand Secretariat to heel, outwits her imperial uncle in court, and rides into battle to repel foreign enemies.

(Delicate Grand Secretariat: Actually, I want to be a general...

Sworn brother: Actually, I'm the crown prince of a neighboring kingdom.

Prince Wen: I damn well want to be emperor!

Minister of Revenue: I'll just watch and keep quiet. (Thinking: When my son-in-law takes the throne, I'll rise with him! Heh heh!)

A Mo: ...Get lost, all of you. The throne belongs to my own brother.)
