The City of Amnesia

Although I don't know any of the characters in the book, I can see the shadow of my own life in them. There was no war in the era I lived in, and nothing earth-shattering happened. I thought, I'll just write about the extraordinary things about ordinary people. The name and theme of "Amnesia City" were decided long ago. When I first started writing, I hoped that there would be such a place in the world that could provide a home for the elderly suffering from Alzheimer's disease and a chance for college students graduating from medical schools. In fact, it is difficult to be a doctor nowadays. When we impose a lot of responsibilities on them, we forget that they are just a group of ordinary people studying medicine. The doctors in "Amnesia City" are not our stereotype of doctors. They often go to bars to talk and laugh, and they have professional knowledge but never formality. This is the image of the characters I want to convey. They are doctors and recent graduates. Beyond one identity, I want more diverse identities. Take Yuyin as an example. She not only wants to be a doctor, but also a girlfriend and a daughter. She will also have her own hobbies and ideas. Occupation is just an attribute of the character, and the role should not be defined by occupation.
