There’s a River Across from My House

As we grow up, whether we want to or not, there are things we have to take responsibility for. The three young people who hurried home had no idea what was waiting for them. Their grandmother falls gravely ill, they start a company, get married, and their parents run into trouble. They struggle to move forward. Throughout it all, betrayal and loyalty, indifference and wholehearted support, take turns coming to the fore. The lessons their grandmother taught them as children, “Be kind to others,” “All things have a spirit,” “Never harm others,” “It’s a blessing to take a loss,” and “Good people are rewarded,” have a profound influence on them. With the help and encouragement of their grandparents, parents, and the people they once helped, their business grows bigger and bigger. When they look back, the river by their home has been flowing quietly all along, no matter what people have done to it.
