This Empire Is Unscientific

Everyone says it is heroes who change the world. But most of the things that change the world are bubbles. Heroes, swords, and wisdom come together because of a dream and become sparkling bubbles that burst when poked. These bubbles come together, some of them succeed, and they make today's world. But most of the bubbles that sparkled and even shone with rose-purple starlight had broken, disappearing one after another into the sparkling but vulnerable Midsummer Night's Dream. Can this unscientific empire really reach a better era with a dream, some unheard-of whimsy?
