The Immortal Ruins

The rise and fall of the Xia court laid the foundations for the Tang Empire to unify the cultivation world and establish a centralized feudal government. This was an upheaval without precedent in the cultivation world’s countless eons. At first glance, this revolutionary upheaval seems to have been brought about purely by the struggles between various factions and individuals, but there must have been deeper causes at work. This book follows the life of Li Jianwei, a scholar of Mount Tianmu, and recounts as plainly as possible the events that took place during the transition from the Xia court to the Tang Empire. As a figure who commanded widespread attention during this period, I believe he can be considered one of the protagonists. One final note: this is only one person’s account, so don’t take it as gospel. It is intended as a reference for scholars interested in studying the history of the cultivation world.
