Weeping Earth

"The Weeping Earth" is a science fiction short story I wrote 30 years ago. The story begins with an asteroid hitting the earth. The earth fell out of orbit and the ocean became a stagnant pool of water. All vegetation and tropical rainforests on the earth have disappeared. The only land animals left are humans and rats... In order to save the earth, countries around the world have united and worked together to use all nuclear weapons and nuclear fuel used in the war to save the earth. "The Earth in Tears" was finished but was shelved without submission. The main reason is that I have no confidence in some scientific views. Today, 30 years later, I have mixed feelings after watching the movie "The Wandering Earth". It turns out that there is still a lot of room between science and fantasy. After reading "The Earth in Tears", I feel much more at ease. These are two completely different versions. I want to say that books can be plagiarized, but Seal of the Times can never be plagiarized!
