The Beautiful Country Chef

Xia Xiaoman, a country girl, was falsely accused of stealing. Unable to bear the humiliation, she hanged herself with a rope. When she opened her eyes again, a different soul had taken over her body. What? The relatives who drove her to her death still want to kill her mother, too? Xia Xiaoman: "Ha! I've got fortune on my side, and I refuse to die. Now you're the ones who are going to die!" Who says life in ancient times has to be miserable? The mountains and rivers are full of treasure! She forages for wild vegetables, gathers lingzhi mushrooms, raids birds' nests for eggs, and hunts rabbits. With a spatula in one hand and skilled hands of her own, she starts a warm and happy life with her family in ancient times, full of delicious food. But when life starts going well, there are always people who grow jealous. Xia Xiaoman rolled up her sleeves. "One comes, I beat one. Two come, I kill them both!" As soon as she finished speaking, the relatives who'd come to mooch off her scattered in every direction. Xia Xiaoman was stunned. "But I haven't even started beating anyone yet! Who stole my little monsters?" A certain man: "Wifey, it was me. Leave the beating to your husband."
