Nine Queues of Unsolved Cases 2: Nirvana

Many years after the ending of the first book, The Nine Unsolved Cases, Xiao Jue and Huo Xi live in quiet obscurity among the common people, continuing to travel far and wide to solve the world’s unsolved cases. They have also had a son, Xiao Jingyu. Years pass in the blink of an eye, and Xiao Jingyu grows into a handsome young man of distinguished bearing. Influenced by his mother Huo Xi’s immortality, he may look eighteen or nineteen, but he has already lived for nearly a century. When Xiao Jingyu earns the admiration of the ruler of Chen, Xiao Jue and Huo Xi stop in Chen on their travels. Hearing that the ruler’s wife is ill, they go to pay her a visit, only to arrive just as Chen Ji, the ruler’s adopted daughter, is murdered in a gruesome fashion.
