Why Not Give It a Read?
To me, a good book is one that makes you want to keep reading. Original ideas and decent writing are usually the most important basics of a good book. If the writing is too poor, I don't feel like reading it even if the idea is good. If the writing is decent but the plot is the same old thing, I don't want to read that either, like breaking off an engagement and face-slapping, or the useless-protagonist trope. Some novels completed over ten years ago still feel like classics today. I can't help
