Xia You, Please Let Me Love You

It all began with a car accident. Xia You’s father died in a car accident, but the real culprit got away with it. Before her grandfather died, he repeatedly told her, “Youyou, remember, the man who ran over your father was called Zhu Rui!” Xia You was six that year. The resentful look on her grandfather’s face before he died lingered in her mind, taking root and growing. Later, when Zhu Rui learned that Xia You’s grandfather had died, he took Xia You into his home. Perhaps he hoped it would ease his guilt a little... “A new home? No, it was hell...” Zhu Rui’s wife, Hu Lan, loved picking fights. She would hit and scold Xia You at the slightest excuse, treating her like a punching bag. Zhu Rui’s daughter, Zhu Jiayi, opposed her at every turn and looked down on her. Xia You had thought that Zhu Jie, who rarely spoke, was a good person. But in the end, she discovered that this had been nothing but wishful thinking! As graduation approached, Xia You thought she could finally leave this “home” that resembled hell. She never imagined that Zhu Jie, who usually kept quiet, would take the last shred of dignity she had left. It wasn’t until a man appeared that Xia You’s life began to improve, if only a little. His name was Zhuo Yifan, and he fell in love with her at first sight. When Xia You learned that Zhu Jiayi loved him, she readily accepted Zhuo Yifan’s proposal... And so began a tale of revenge...
