Chase, Wife, Chase!

Version 1 More than 500 years after the apocalyptic disaster, it is now the year 2563. Ye Ru sits on a school bench, reading about history from 500 years ago. She looks up. A slightly sleazy-looking old man walks past her, then past her again, then a third time. He tells her that the headmaster of First Military Academy has sent her an invitation to enroll six months early, and asks whether she is willing to attend. She looks up again. A dazzlingly handsome young man walks toward her. Their eyes meet, then they pass each other. At that moment, the gears of time click into motion and begin turning toward an unknown future. Version 2 She is a poor girl with just 23.65 RMB left in her bank account. He is a privileged young master from a distinguished family, with status and wealth to spare. They should have nothing in common. The only thing linking them is their perennial first and second place rankings on the Fenghua Academy scoreboards. But rumors say that years ago, they supported each other and were inseparable. Then, in the blink of an eye, they turned against each other and became strangers. Version 3 I never knew there could be such an insurmountable gulf between us. No matter how hard we try, we can’t cross it, climb over it, or get past it. I can do nothing as I watch your pain and struggle. I’m just as helpless as the people I once held closest drift away from me. And I don’t know what to do about the person who has done so much for me, someone I can neither hate nor love. Would everything slowly get better if I just left? Version 4 “You’re my heart, you’re my liver, you’re three-quarters of my life...” Young Master Xiao reaches out a claw and smacks the nauseatingly lovesick author onto the wall with a loud splat. He flicks his sleeves, looking as calm as a gentle breeze beneath soft clouds and warm starlight, then turns to gaze tenderly at the other side. “Xiao Ru, just ignore this idiot author.” “But I already heard it.” “Of course. Even though this idiot author made it sound a little sickening, she did more or less express how I feel about you.” “...” The author scratches, climbs, and bangs against the wall, crying and howling. You dare treat me, your elder, like this? Just you wait, I’ll make you pay! * That’s about it. The synopsis is a complete mess, so just skim it, everyone. The story itself is the best part~
