The Bewitching Prince’s Poisonous Consort

They say this was their first meeting: she fell off a cliff and lay by the river, barely breathing and unable to move. He passed by, glanced at her, then drifted away. They say this was their second meeting: he was ambushed and badly wounded, trapped in a desperate situation. She happened upon him but watched coldly from the sidelines. Then she folded her arms and asked, “Ten thousand taels of gold for saving your life. What do you say?” She was the forgotten legitimate daughter of the Prime Minister, raised in a Buddhist convent because of her supposed frail health since childhood. If her wedding had not been drawing near, people might still have forgotten she existed. Unfortunately, her fiancé was far too outstanding. Before she had even returned home, his enemies had already tried to assassinate her, ruining her lovely plan to live a quiet life and while away her days. And then there was that damn man. She had repaid his ingratitude and saved his life, yet he kept opposing her over a mere ten thousand taels of gold... Wait, what did you say? He's the legendary man with power over all, illustrious reputation, a face like a demon's and the beauty of an immortal, the one who has countless noblewomen and young ladies swooning over him, and who nearly got her killed? He's my fiancé?! You've got to be kidding me! ** PS: This is a one-to-one romance with lots of sweetness and no angst.
