Guo Jia met Xu Nuo during the darkest period of her life. She thought they would love each other until they were old and gray, walking hand in hand through bright days and dusky evenings, even after their teeth had fallen out. But then she saw Xu Nuo in bed with another woman...
Ling Xiujie had first seen Guo Jia when she was fourteen, though she had no idea who he was. When Guo Jia turned twenty-one, he transferred her to his side as his secretary, quietly protecting her while she muddled through life. He thought things could carry on just fine like that, but then the little brat got drunk and took advantage of him. President Ling was furious. She slept with him and thought she could just walk away? Bring her back. This time, he was going to make sure she never got away from him...
This is the tearful coming-of-age story of an unlucky heiress from a wealthy family.
This is the story of how a mother and daughter’s bond changes and grows stronger.
Highlights:
Scene One: The young woman has a great ear for music and a lovely singing voice. One day, a certain CEO happens to hear her singing happily. He hugs her, kissing and nibbling at her as he coaxes, “Come on, girl, sing me another one!”
The young woman snaps, “You’ve got a screw loose! Get lost!”
The CEO refuses to give up, pinning her down.
And so the battle of the sexes begins, with a terrible outcome...
Scene Two: Four years later, the young woman returns and heads straight to the towering office building to see the CEO. But as soon as she pushes open the door, she sees a sultry woman with an hourglass figure throwing herself at him.
The young woman is filled with regret. The world has changed, and everything is different. She shouldn’t have come. She really shouldn’t have.
The CEO sees her and freezes. Distracted for a moment, he lets the sultry woman pounce on him. Furious, he shouts at the little woman in the doorway, “Are you dead or something? You’re just standing there watching someone take advantage of your husband! Why don’t you come help me?”
The young woman gives a silly little “Oh.” The CEO thinks she understands, but then she waves her hand and a little rice-ball of a child pops out from behind her, shouting and waving their arms, having the time of their life.
Scene Three (probably in an extra): One day, the CEO hears a five-word piece of wisdom from some idiot who can’t say anything useful: “Drunk words are true words.” He remembers the young woman getting drunk one day and feels terribly dissatisfied. So, under the cover of darkness that night, he makes sure she gets tipsy.
“Tell me, who am I?” The CEO swirls his wineglass, using both threats and temptation.
The young woman gazes at him drunkenly and beams. “My husband!”
“Who do you love most?”
“My husband!”
With that, the CEO gets the answer he wanted. Grinning from ear to ear, he carries her to the bedroom to make her his. At last, his wish comes true. Perfect!
A gentle reminder: This is a serious romance.
