Lin Yan said they should get married, and Li Yuwei didn't ask why. So they got married.
Lin Yan said they should get divorced. Li Yuwei asked him, “You've made up your mind, haven't you?”
Lin Yan said, “Yes.”
And so they got divorced!

No one understood what Lin Yan and Li Yuwei's marriage was about. Somehow they ended up together, and stayed that way for seven years.
Li Yuwei had thought they could just keep going, seven years after seven years, until the end of their lives. But things didn't go as she hoped: Li Yuxi came back.
Who was Li Yuxi? She was the only woman Lin Yan had ever loved. So what could Li Yuwei say? She'd step aside and let the rightful woman take her place!
Excerpt:
Li Yuwei stared at the white figure tumbling down the stairs, step by step, and froze in shock.
At that moment, Lin Yan shoved her out of the way and scooped the blood-soaked woman at the foot of the stairs into his arms. “Li Yuwei, how could you? What did Sister Xizi ever do to you? What is wrong with you now?”
“Li Yuwei, you'd better pray that Sister Xizi and the baby she's carrying are safe. Otherwise, we'll see what you do about it...”
After the man left, his mother took Li Yuwei's cold hands in hers and spoke softly. “Weiwei, you did nothing wrong. Just remember that.”
Li Yuwei stared at her. Why had she grabbed her hand and pushed that woman down the stairs?
Excerpt:
At the airport, a man and a woman looked into each other's eyes. After a long moment, the woman turned away, but the man suddenly reached out and caught her.
She turned around and saw the man, who usually strutted around like he owned the place, standing there with red-rimmed eyes, at a loss for words.
She raised her slender fingers to trace his features, but her own tears suddenly spilled, one after another.
Four years later, at the same airport, the man rushed over like the wind and wrapped his arms around the woman who had just gotten off the plane.
“Bad man! Don't bully my mommy!” Suddenly, a little boy stepped in front of her, glaring up at the man like a tiny soldier.
The man bent down to meet the little boy's eyes. If he had a child of his own, the child would be about this age.
But looking left and right, why did this little one look exactly like the man who should have been sent to hell?!
Excerpt:
Lin Yan sidled up to Li Yuwei with a cheeky grin, clinging to her arm and even trying to hug her leg. “Honey, I don't think I have a home anymore. Be kind and take me in!”
Li Yuwei folded her arms and looked down at him sidelong, then gave him a playful kick on the shin and a crooked smile. “Heh heh, thanks for giving the entertainment pages their latest headline for free!” For someone who was clearly a businessman, he sure did keep popping up in the entertainment headlines every few days. What a joke!
Several dark lines instantly appeared on Lin Yan's forehead. “Wife, I was wrong. The ancients said nobody's perfect and everyone makes mistakes. I was wrong before. I'll change, okay?”
Li Yuwei thought: Give me a slap, then a sweet date? I can change too!
