Boss, One Love Leads to Marriage

When Gao Shenran was born, her paternal grandmother’s preference for boys turned her from a girl into a boy. At sixteen, she witnessed her father’s affair, watched him squander the working capital his company needed, and saw him trick her mother into signing divorce papers. At eighteen, she formed a hugely popular rock-folk band and made a name for herself at “Scoop Water,” a famous bar in C City, where she got involved with the diamond-studded “Brother Yue.” At twenty-four, “he” meets him... He is Meng Qingchao, twenty-eight, a rich young master born at the top of the pyramid. He’s arrogant, willful, narcissistic, and conceited... until he meets “him!” Back then, she can only be a man, and he keeps doubting her. “Are you a man? Was that rotten old Heaven asleep when it made you?” “You really aren’t a woman?” == When they meet again, she is Lin Ran, a rising star of Malaysia’s cabaret scene, with a miniature version of herself right behind her. In the hotel lobby, everyone’s faces seem blurred into mosaics. He smiles wickedly and dangerously. “Long time no see, Gao! Shen! Ran!” == And here is the adorable, proud, and ferocious little dumpling: “My dad is Meng Qingchao. He was so blind before that he didn’t recognize my mommy!” “Poor blind man. Mommy and I couldn’t let him go around harming other people, so we had to take him in!” “This young master is a boy, a real man! Call me pretty again and I’ll have my dad flatten you!”
