Is this how you ought to behave?” the emperor asked, looking at the empress, who had knocked over her wine cup out of boredom at the court banquet. “Please punish me, Your Majesty!” Du Xiaoyue glanced at the pile of broken pieces on the floor, then said with feigned alarm, “I broke a tribute item from the Li Kingdom. I volunteer to spend a month confined to my chambers, reflecting on my mistake.” A whole month! I can read all the romance novels I want, and sleep without anyone daring to disturb me! Hahaha! Scene Three: “Wow, I never knew there was such a lush apricot grove in the palace!” Du Xiaoyue gazed at the apricot blossoms in full bloom, suddenly inspired to recite poetry. “Red apricot branches lean against the wall beside the sun...” “What comes next?” A man dressed in pale moon-white robes strolled out of the grove... “An apricot branch reaches over the wall!” The young woman thought for a long time, couldn’t remember the next line, and blurted out the first thing that came to mind...
