I Just Want to Be a Lackey

Gan Bai was dirt-poor in his previous life. After dying unexpectedly and being reborn, he was still dirt-poor in this one.

An unexpected discovery made Gan Bai realize that this world was actually a melodramatic rich-family novel.

A rich family? They must have tons of money...

So Gan Bai deliberately got close to Meng Jing, the rich second-generation male supporting character in the original story, and smoothly became the rich guy's lackey.

Being a lackey is great. Dogs are so cute, so loyal. He loves dogs the most!

Just like that, from cash to cars and then houses, Gan Bai successfully climbed out of poverty. He planned to save his money, settle down, date a girl, and walk happily into the wedding hall...

Then one morning, he opened his eyes and knew he was done for. Never mind whether he could keep his money; he definitely wouldn't keep his life.

How could he, a lackey, sleep with his master...

Meng Jing was a straight man. But these days, anyone who keeps insisting they're straight is either gay or deep in the closet. Meng Jing was the latter.

His little lackey was good-looking and obedient, and knew how to please him, so he didn't begrudge him the little money that slipped through his fingers.

His comfortable life went on like that, but gradually he began to grow dissatisfied with Gan Bai.

Why did he smile so brightly at that person?

Why couldn't he stay by my side all the time?

Haven't I given you enough?

Can't you just be a little more obedient?

Who is that person?

Where did you go?

Then Meng Jing heard Gan Bai say that he planned to save money and date someone, then get married and give his future wife a good life. All of Meng Jing's discontent burst out at once.

You're going to spend the money you earned by sucking up to me on someone else? You want to date? You want a wife and kids and a cozy home?

Dream on.
