My Boyfriend Is No Mere Human

[Lazy, unmotivated ghost-catching bottom × Mysterious, gloomy, atypical male ghost top]

Chen Shu is the last of the ghost-catching masters. He's highly skilled at his job, but the times have changed.

Ghosts of the past: They thirsted for human blood and brimmed with resentment!

Adorable ghosts of today: They crave milk tea, beg for spoilers, and love Makataka!

His job has gone from slaying monsters and demons to being an unofficial employee of the spirit world's neighborhood committee. His daily routine involves either ordering takeout for ghosts or pretending to be scared of them.

Chen Shu: Thanks for asking. I'm in the mortal realm, just got off my electric scooter, and I'm a professional slacker. Don't bother me, I'm starving.

Then one day, at an intersection without surveillance cameras, an old man tries to scam him, and a female ghost asks him for emotional support.

In the chaos, Chen Shu runs into something that overturns everything he knows.

A male ghost.

The ghost has no yin energy. He's devastatingly handsome, and embedded in his shattered chest is a heart that beats on its own, glowing an eerie red.

His one question, "You can see me?", makes Chen Shu literally run into a ghost and land in the hospital.

From then on, this mysterious, powerful, and intensely gloomy male ghost clings to him.

Chen Shu (drained of yang energy, looking weak.jpg): "Bro, the afterlife is to your left, and milk tea delivery is to your right. I'm just a lazy fish. I really don't take on complicated cases!"

Male ghost (twining Chen Shu's hair around his fingers, chuckling softly): "...But you're all I want."

Forced to "rejoin the workforce," Chen Shu discovers that the world is far deeper, darker, and more dangerous than he ever imagined.

And the key to unlocking every mystery seems to be hidden in the eternally beating heart of the gloomy male ghost at his side.
