My Love Has No Form

A new kind of naturally occurring blue mineral has been discovered in Peru, South America. Its properties are unusual, and it is more valuable than gold.

Jose, a structural geologist, goes to search for mineral veins near an indigenous tribe.

His guide tells him he must follow three rules.

1. Never leave the tribe's territory alone.

2. Never speak to strangers.

3. Never look into deep water.

Deep in the jungle, Jose can always just make out the figure of a local indigenous man.

He wears no shirt. His body is strong, his brown skin healthy, and his long, glossy black hair falls to the ground, obscuring half his body. Jose cannot see below his waist.

The man never speaks. He only watches from a distance.

One day, Jose is injured and separated from his team.

As he loses consciousness, the man finally emerges slowly from behind the trees and walks toward him...

After that,

Jose shares his instant meals with him, lets him listen to music through his headphones, and brings him concentrated coffee.

The man, in turn, takes Jose to every hidden cave nearby and every deep, secluded river.

But they find no trace of the new mineral, and the team plans to leave during the tribe's ritual.

The locals worship a creature called ultimo. The guide says that in the Uro language, it means god.

On the day of their departure, the people performing the ritual kneel devoutly by the water. Jose's inflatable raft is suddenly swept toward the center by the raging current.

He looks down and sees a familiar face in the depths of the whirlpool.

Its true form is immense, as if it were one with the water.

It reaches out and offers Jose a sparkling blue mineral, the same color as its own body.

It is the god's silent plea for him to stay.

All things fall silent. My love has no form.
