Hated by the Whole Internet, Yet a Master of Ancient Music

"The pipa sounds, and lotus blossoms bloom with every step." That is the first impression people of the Southern Dynasty have of Xia Xianyue.

As the Southern Dynasty's foremost performer, Xia Xianyue's pipa compositions leave scholars and literati in awe, while her lotus-step dance earns rapturous applause from her fellow performers.

Xia Xianyue excels at everything, yet she is poisoned to death at a palace banquet for daring to dream of becoming the crown prince's consort.

When Xia Xianyue wakes, she has arrived in an unfamiliar world, in the body of a minor celebrity who is hated across the internet.

Manager: You can't take getting criticized?

Xia Xianyue: I'm great at getting criticized. What's a little spit to me?

Manager: You're so obscure you might as well be underground. You need to keep your head down. This talent show is just so you can make up the numbers. You'll be eliminated in the first round, so don't feel pressured.

Xia Xianyue: Got it.

Xia Xianyue casually performs a "basic dance routine." Her manager is stunned, and the judges are dumbfounded. How could a show like this not let her advance?

After Xia Xianyue takes first place, she looks at the familiar face of a guest: He was my lover in my previous life.

Her manager frantically signals her: Stop staring at Qi Yanxiu! Have you forgotten why the whole internet hates you?

The moment Qi Yanxiu first sees Xia Xianyue, he is captivated: She's musical, graceful, a born star, and she likes me.

Director: She's just trying to ride your coattails.

Qi Yanxiu: No, she's just lusting after me.

Qi Yanxiu is convinced Xia Xianyue is madly in love with him. Her gaze is full of affection, and she is always playing music and dancing for him.

Qi Yanxiu: Xia Xianyue is pursuing me. I should give her plenty of chances.

Xia Xianyue: Didn't we agree to keep work and real life separate? Why is he taking it seriously?

Theme: Be brave and do what you want. Your work will give you the answer
