Transmigrating to the Modern Era to Restore Ancient Paintings

Feng Ji was a painting restorer in Jiangnan Commandery. After restoring a badly damaged imperial masterpiece, he was inexplicably murdered, then transmigrated into the modern world and into the body of someone with the same name.

The modern-day Feng Ji was born into a famous family of ancient painting restorers, but was widely known as a "good-for-nothing." Just as his family was facing ruin, everyone stood by, waiting for a show.

But as they watched, things started to seem off. The Feng Ji rumored to be unable to restore even a simple page seemed rather strange.

His hands moved with practiced ease. In his care, damaged ancient paintings were restored to their former glory. He even dared to set paper on fire, using a thousand-year-old secret technique as if it were an everyday trick.

Onlookers watched one "revived" ancient painting after another and couldn’t make sense of it. "You call this good-for-nothing?"

Feng Ji’s skills were perfectly suited to the job. His superb craftsmanship won over the industry, and before long, he became a highly sought-after figure.

But he still had regrets. He didn’t know why restoring a broken painting had gotten him killed and sent him a thousand years into the future.

Just as he was on the verge of fame, he received a mysterious damaged painting. When he opened it, he exclaimed, "Why is this the same one I saw in my previous life? Is this thing here to take my life?"

There is only one main character: Feng Ji.

Main task: restore paintings, restore paintings, and restore paintings.

This is not a mystery story. It mainly follows the calm, everyday work of painting restoration.

It’s not a long story. Writing it comfortably is what matters most.
