Detached Girl x Peacock Guy
Yu Fu is aloof. She doesn't like socializing, and she has no close friends.
Everyone says Yu Fu is cold and distant, but they're all very tolerant of her.
There's only one reason: she's incredibly gorgeous.
Long, straight black hair and blunt bangs. When she keeps a straight face, she has a particularly mature, commanding air.
Everyone thinks Yu Fu has the face of a party girl, but her actions are the complete opposite.
All she knows is studying, like a machine wound up and set in motion.
Just as eye-catching as Yu Fu's face is the little sidekick who follows her around: You Yifang.
They say they're childhood friends, but in truth, only You Yifang sees it that way.
And he's the kind of guy who's outrageously shameless and insists on making sure everyone knows it.
So Yu Fu and You Yifang became inseparable, and their names often appeared together in all kinds of contexts.
In their three years of high school, no one ever suspected they would start dating.
Because You Yifang was always turned away, often in pretty humiliating fashion. But Young Master You didn't mind. He would just wave his sleeve and look completely unbothered.
He grinned, cheerful and full of himself. "What do those people know? The goddess is adorable when she gives me the cold shoulder."
Years later, they had shed their student days and were no longer the people they once were.
But You Yifang still hadn't given up on staying in touch with Yu Fu.
For one reason or another, though, they had less and less to talk about, and their conversations grew cautious.
Until Yu Fu found an unsent confession text on that old-fashioned phone.
A tipsy You Yifang leaned against the doorframe, casually brushing back his hair and revealing his handsome widow's peak.
His tone sounded apologetic, but he was still as obnoxious as ever. "It's so embarrassing that you found out. How about you let me pursue you for a while now?"
At last, the boy's sincere feelings for her from their school days had come to light.

A little more about the setup: The heroine's family is deeply dysfunctional, with a traditional Chinese family dynamic, belittling education, and a preference for sons. The author is a simple country bumpkin who writes whatever they like, so don't read it if it's not for you. My previous stories have all featured leads with troubled families, so the hero's family in this one is relatively normal. I'll also try writing a doted-on little princess heroine later. Check out "Blame the Weather That Day" on my profile.
Theme: Life allows plenty of room for mistakes, so please don't be anxious.
