Rule Horror: The Boss Looks Like My Crush

The day Shi Yi was dumped into a five-star haunted-house instance, he not only suffered a head injury, but also missed the beginner's handbook.

While everyone else trembled at the sight of blood running down the wallpaper, he felt the tooth marks on it and marveled, "Wow, what distinctive carving."

While others screamed as a ghost bride chased them, he gazed at her twisted neck with sparkling eyes. "What a badass big sister!"

It was only when he met the manor's legendary master, who fed on fear, that things changed.

The man wore a black tailcoat. His eyes were as cold as ice, and countless vengeful spirits drifted in the black mist coiling around him.

Everyone else was so terrified they wet themselves on the spot. Shi Yi clutched his chest and stomped his feet. "Holy crap! Now that's what I call a real beauty!"

Guy: "?"

In five hundred years, he had never seen prey with "so handsome" written all over his face. More absurdly, this little thing thought even the ugliest evil spirits around him looked refined, yet took one look at the white-lotus ex-husband who was trying to use him and said:

Shi Yi, looking disgusted: "Who is this greasy guy? Just looking at him makes me sick."

Bates, his smile frozen: "..."

Weren't you supposed to be easy to manipulate after losing your memory?!

Later, everyone knew that Scarlet Manor had a crazy new arrival:

He dared to grab the BOSS by the tie and call him "hubby," complain that the chef's pig-like face was too ugly, and treasure a sobbing maid doll.

And the murderous manor master might tell him to "get lost," but when an evil spirit set its sights on him, he'd silently crush its soul. He'd even give him the only fresh apple, his ears red enough to drip blood.

Then, on the final day of the instance, the rules announced: [Survivors may leave the instance.]

Shi Yi wrapped his arms around Guy's waist and refused to let go. "I'm not leaving! There are handsome guys here, but none outside!"

Guy, his ears burning as he snapped, "Who said you could stay?!"

The next moment, he secretly tightened his arms around him and whispered so only the two of them could hear, "...If you stay, you can't change your mind."

[Bonus Scene]

Bates tried to use their old relationship to lure Shi Yi away. "Xiao Yi, forget him and come with me. I can get you out."

Shi Yi: "Who are you? You're so ugly. Stop keeping me from looking at handsome guys."

Guy smirked in the shadows. The next second, ghostly hands appeared out of nowhere and dragged Bates into the wall.

Guy walked over to Shi Yi, his face expressionless. "Had enough?"

Shi Yi, eyes sparkling: "Not yet! Guy, you're super handsome today too!"

Guy turned and walked away, though his pace slowed. "...Boring."
