In the apocalypse, Song Yin held off dozens of zombies alone so that a rescue team could save her two children. Before blowing herself up, she wished that in her next life, she and her children could live in peaceful times.
When she woke again, she had become a rural woman in the 1990s. Blood streamed from her head, and her two children cried uncontrollably as they watched her wake.
But when she saw the two children beside her, who looked exactly like her own, she froze.
She received the original owner's memories. There was no war or zombies here, no need to fight one another for a bite to eat. Here, people could eat their fill and dress warmly, and the sunlight was warm and bright.
But this place also held memories that had tormented the original owner.
Grievance, anger, and resentment overwhelmed her. The original owner's boundless hatred told her that some debts had to be paid.
So that night, her drunken, abusive husband had both legs broken and knelt on the ground, kowtowing and begging for mercy.
Her biased mother-in-law kept her distance. Her selfish sister-in-law and awful sister-in-law by marriage were so thoroughly dealt with that they didn't dare breathe too loudly. The gossips couldn't take a single advantage of her, either.
Once she'd kicked the scumbag to the curb, she drew on her memories of the future and confidently set out to start a business.
But before she could make a cent, troublemakers showed up.
Song Yin said, "You're the ones who attacked first, okay? Don't blame me if you get hurt."
A flurry of punches and kicks, and the punks were sprawled all over the ground.
But several of them latched onto her, and she reluctantly took them on as her lackeys. Thus began her journey setting up a street stall and directing them like a general.
As the stall grew and her crew expanded, Song Yin frowned and pondered for a long while, then waved her hand and registered a company. She began making her own clothes and leather shoes, and the beginnings of a business empire took shape.
The lackeys declared, "Why be punks when making leather shoes is so much better? Sister Song gets the meat, and we drink the broth. We've made a fortune, and when we go back to the village, we won't be the rats everyone wants to beat anymore!"
Note: A feel-good power fantasy, no angst. The male lead is just a background character.
