Huai Light

Lu Sui is a top cardiac surgeon. A sudden emergency brings him together with Ji Huai, a patient with congenital heart disease. One is an "ice blade" accustomed to measuring the world with a scalpel; the other is a "little sun" who radiates warmth. As life and death intertwine with the everyday, they melt each other's defenses with warmth: the sweetness of hot cocoa, the laughter of collecting shells at the beach, and nights spent keeping watch beside a hospital bed all become the most precious lights in their lives.

When fate takes Ji Huai's smile away in an accident, Lu Sui carries on with his memories. He opens a clinic called "Huai Guang," passing on the lesson Ji Huai taught him, that "love can heal everything," to every patient. The warmth tucked inside pear-drop candies, the sticky notes on medical records, and the sunrises they watched together from the rooftop never fade. Instead, they become a brighter light, illuminating every step of the rest of his life.
