I'm the Head Chef at a State-Run Restaurant [Pocket Dimension]

Shen Lu was born with an amazing appetite. Her palate was so sharp that even her chef grandfather envied it.

Unfortunately, she only wanted to eat, not cook. She memorized recipes and learned the techniques, then turned around and found an easy job where she could coast through life and lie flat.

She enjoyed her carefree life for several years. Then her grandfather passed away, and if she wanted to eat his signature noodles with gravy again, she'd have to make them herself.

But Shen Lu was hit by a car on her way to buy groceries, and transmigrated.

The bad news: She had transmigrated to the 1970s, an era of scarcity. Her family had nothing, her relatives were scattered, and her rotten fiance was about to break off their engagement to marry into a more powerful family, while plotting to ruin her reputation.

The good news: The heavens had bestowed upon her a spirit-spring dimension where she could raise chickens and grow vegetables, providing for herself. Best of all, its ingredients were not only high-quality and delicious, but also had all sorts of astonishing effects.

Shen Lu rolled up her sleeves, kicked the scumbag, slapped the scheming woman, reclaimed her job opportunity, and became an apprentice at a state-run restaurant.

Pei Xingzhou was handsome, young, and accomplished, the most eligible bachelor in the entire military district.

Yet Chef Liu from the mess hall always called him a "pain in the neck" behind his back. The man was impossibly picky, either giving him advice or on his way to give him more advice. Under Pei Xingzhou's cold, repeated verdict of "disgusting," Chef Liu nearly lost all his dreams and became a salted fish.

Then one day, Chef Liu suddenly realized that Pei Xingzhou hadn't shown up at the mess hall for weeks.

He secretly followed him to the state-run restaurant and happened to hear Pei Xingzhou commenting on a dish prepared by an apprentice. This one's delicious, that one's tasty.

Chef Liu: "..."

Was this really Pei Xingzhou?

When people heard that Colonel Pei visited the state-run restaurant every day, everyone in the military district said, "Of course! Chef Shen's food is so good!"

When they heard Colonel Pei had married her, everyone in the military district said, "Of course... Wait, what? Colonel Pei, how could you play dirty? Chef Shen belongs to all of us!!!"
