The Beloved Little Peach Spirit of the Sixties

Taotao is a little peach spirit. While undergoing tribulations, she transmigrates into a period novel, and all her spiritual power is sealed inside a peach pit. Taotao knows that a natural disaster will strike soon, and many people in the village will starve to death. Her tall, handsome father will also break his leg while searching the mountain for food.

Her already poor family will have an even harder time. Her three older brothers will either die or be left disabled.

Her mother will be so heartbroken that she cries herself blind.

Taotao is worried. Every day, she sticks her little bottom in the air and digs around for her precious peach pit.

Ah, she finally found it!

Taotao clenches her tiny pink fists. She has to protect her parents and brothers.

While her father is farming, Taotao struggles over with a bucket of water. "Daddy, water the crops with magic water, and the rice will grow really fast!"

As her mother mixes feed for the hens, Taotao spits into it. "The hens have to eat my spit before they'll lay lots of eggs!"

When her brother feeds the pigs, Taotao drags over a bundle of unfamiliar weeds. "The piglets have to eat lots of this so they'll get nice and chubby!"

Father, Mother, and Brothers: Our little Taotao is so capable! Our little Taotao is the best!

Everyone else: They let the kid make a mess and do whatever she wants. No wonder they're dirt poor.

Later on.

The Su family gets the worst plot of private farmland, yet it produces the most rice.

The Su family's hens lay eggs nonstop, and they have so many that they can trade the extras for other goods.

Whatever the Su family plants, it thrives. Whatever they raise gets nice and fat.

Aww, what are we supposed to do when everyone wants a kid who makes a mess and runs wild just like Taotao?
