Jiang Shu is an office drone who studied in Italy and stayed there afterward.
Even though her parents have urged her to come home countless times, she has always refused to leave Italy.
The reason is simple: life is so good!
Good pay, little work, and lots of vacation. In spring, she goes to the Netherlands to see the fields of flowers; in summer, she enjoys the charm of southern France; in autumn, she takes a trip to Barcelona; and in winter, she skis in the Alps.
Life is just too comfortable. How could she bear to give it up?
She also has a blond, white ex-boyfriend named Dino, apparently the heir to some local mafia family. He seems like an idiot, though. When they first met, he used the tired pickup line, "Have we met somewhere before?"
Anyway, they just didn't click, so they broke up.
Just as she was preparing to return to the comfortable life of being single, she transmigrated to Italy ten years in the past.
She also unexpectedly met an Italian man who was handsome but extremely devious and fussy. Oh, and he's a hitman.
Their first meeting wasn't exactly pleasant. In fact, it was awful. At the time, she wondered how anyone could be so vile.
After he very politely "invited" her to stay at his home for a while (in reality, to keep an eye on her), she settled into the lie-flat life of her dreams.
Aside from frequently having guns pointed at her head and being taunted with sarcastic remarks, life still had plenty to look forward to.
Worried that she'd be kicked out and left on the street, she volunteered to make all three meals a day for Mr. Hitman.
And so they began a quiet life of two people under one roof, sharing three meals and the passing seasons (not so quiet, really).
Who knows what got into this completely ungentlemanly Italian man, but he actually confessed his love to her.
Shu: Can I say no?
R: Technically, yes.
Then he casually took out the gun he'd just finished cleaning.
Shu, who was just about to refuse: ( ̄ー ̄ )
And so they got together and began a shameless life (crossed out).
Now she gets to eat both Western food and "Western food."
Then one day, she met a mini version of her idiot ex-boyfriend, who very politely called her current boyfriend "Godfather."
#Ah, so they really had met before
