A short-tempered woman who thinks she's doing a great job of hiding it, and a possessive but helplessly inept, weepy househusband
Wen Xuying, a senior official in the Villainess Department of the Heavenly Dao Administration, is about to enjoy her first vacation in 300 years. After carefully choosing from among the three thousand worlds, she picks a peaceful cultivation world with beautiful surroundings for her holiday.
On her first day off, she finds a little immortal man. He's so beautiful that he insists on repaying her kindness.
He can cook, do the laundry, and work the fields...
He takes impeccable care of Wen Xuying. When she has to work overtime and goes off to torment an underdeveloped male lead in a neighboring world, she returns covered in blood. The little immortal man simply falls silent for a moment before washing her clothes. When he finds torture tools under the bed, he puts them away without a word, pretending not to know...
Later, when Wen Xuying's vacation ends and she returns to her department, the world where she'd spent her holiday runs into trouble. Its child of fortune has fallen into despair and is even in danger of dying and losing his cultivation.
Wen Xuying throws herself into this world to deal with the now-useless child of fortune.
She dutifully plays the villainess as usual, but how can the child of fortune be her fragile husband? Why isn't he fighting back? Why is he pleading with red-rimmed eyes?
"Please... don't let me go."
For the first time, Wen Xuying encounters a problem at work.

When Xin Yaoshu was on the brink of death, a woman found him. He had lost all his spiritual power, but didn't want to incur any more karmic debt, so he volunteered to stay and repay her kindness.
He spent a peaceful, quiet stretch of time with her.
Then one day, a noisy bird appeared in the house. Chains and whips appeared under the bed. His wife began coming home late, with bloodstains on her clothes.
He quietly cleaned up, treating everything unusual as ordinary, thinking that as long as she came back, that was enough.
Sometimes, he could hear her sending messages to other people, scolding them harshly.
Xin Yaoshu suddenly felt that she treated him differently.
She was very good to him. He could keep living this way.
But day after day, he waited in vain for her to come home.
He had been abandoned.

Without his wife, it seemed not to matter what happened to the world.
Xin Yaoshu let everything fall apart, as if bent on destroying himself, and took a sick pleasure in his pain, imagining it meant his wife cared about him.
But then the wife he thought he would never see again returned, displaying a power and composure he'd never seen before.
Xin Yaoshu wanted to hate her, wanted to question her, but in the end, just to keep her there, he hid away all his bitterness.
Only when he couldn't hold back did he pour out his feelings to her:
"Do you always give gifts to people like this?"
"Xuying, where have you been?"
He grew increasingly irrational, brazenly ignoring his wife's pleas for him to stop as he pulled her into his arms. "Xuying, weren't you the one who taught me to be a little bad?"
"You said you'd accept all my emotions."
"I need you."
The sweet lies his wife had once told him suddenly sounded wonderful.
