[Once again, this is a story about nonhuman monsters, which I love. It's based on the horror film series Alien, but doesn't involve the original plot, so you can read it as an original story. A sweet romance with a touch of dark horror.]
Blurb created on 2026.1.2, with a screenshot saved as proof. Tentatively scheduled to begin in the first half of 2026.
The heroine's name is Vesper, meaning the Evening Star and evening prayer.
Opening your eyes in the world of a horror movie after being reincarnated is bad enough. The worst part is having to deal with the original owner's scheme to swindle money through a fraudulent marriage being exposed.
Luckily, her wealthy fiance is firmly on her side, keeping Vesper from falling back into the dangerous, filthy slums.
A handsome, generous, wealthy, hopeless romantic, and the sole heir to the world's leading Weyland technology company. By all accounts, she'd struck gold.
That's what Vesper thought at first, too.
Until one night, she discovered her fiance shedding his skin in a pool of viscous slime.
After that, her fiance seemed like a different person.
He fell in love with biological and genetic research, spending every day surrounded by corpses.
When he looked at Vesper, his dark eyes resembled the devouring maw of some monster, filled with a cold, clammy hunger.
He was attentive to her every need, yet constantly watched her, as if she were his most precious captive.
His body grew colder and colder. In moments of extreme excitement during intimacy, something seemed to writhe beneath his skin in a dense mass.
His blood was no longer bright red, but a potent acid capable of corroding anything.
Every sign matched the alien parasitic monster known as the "Xenomorph" in Weyland's classified files.
Remembering the Xenomorph's horrifying habit of bursting out of its Host and laying eggs inside any living creature nearby, she decided to prepare everything she needed to escape as soon as possible.
Before she could put her plan into action, one night Vesper awoke to a cold, wet sensation. Her fiance was staring down at her, drenched from head to toe, strange black liquid streaming from his strong, beautiful body.
"I brought you a present," he said.
A Xenomorph egg, covered in slime and warm, sticky blood.
She was so terrified she nearly lost her mind. "...What is this?"
"They say having a child helps keep a relationship stable."
Sarohi answered seriously. "This is our child. Now that we have it, you won't want to leave me anymore, right?"
So he... or rather, it had known all along what she was planning.
It placed the special Xenomorph egg in Vesper's hands and watched her tremble, tears streaming down her face as if she were overwhelmed with emotion.
It happily lowered its head and kissed its wife.
Her tears mixed with the blood and bits of flesh on the egg's shell, dripping onto the floor.
