My Childhood Friend, Dead for Ten Years, Became a Zombie

When the recipient was a child, he had a childhood friend from the neighboring family whom he played with all the time. Sadly, when the friend was seven, disaster struck his family, and everyone in it was killed.

Fifteen years later, reports of a corpse rising from the dead spread around the recipient's old neighborhood, even though his family had moved away long ago. Panic gripped the area.

For eighteen generations, the recipient's family had made their living as corpse drivers.

By his father's generation, they had finally hung up their trade and moved to the city with the whole family, starting a normal life.

As it happened, the recipient had grown up learning from his grandfather, and was a talented corpse driver who could carry on the family tradition.

One day, as police sirens blared, he encountered in an alley the childhood friend who had been dead for ten years, and whom he had watched being buried with his own eyes.

The friend was ravenously stuffing a blurry lump of flesh and blood into his mouth.

When the friend lunged at him with his claws bared, the recipient calmly took a yellow talisman from his bag and pressed it to the friend's forehead.

The attacker suddenly dropped to his knees and kowtowed to him with a thump.
