[Detroit] I'm Really Just an Ordinary Person, Okay?!

Detroit: Become Human fanfiction

Who's still thinking about Detroit in 2025? Oh, it's me. (At peace.)

I'll start posting once I've built up enough of a backlog. Still writing purely for love.

There may be some otome-style scenes. If that's not your thing, don't read.

////////////////////////////////////

You just finished playing Detroit: Become Human. When you wake up, you suddenly find yourself in this future world where artificial intelligence has advanced beyond all reason.

But somehow, you're not undocumented. Your ID from your original world still works. The only problem is...

You were born in 2007. Before you transmigrated, you were an eighteen-year-old girl in the prime of her youth. Now you're a woman in her late twenties, almost thirty.

You: ...

Well, your surname is Wang. How about choosing the English name Ada?

////////////////////////////////////

You have no special skills and no System or golden finger. Before the bills piled up in the house you don't even know how you got, you finally discover a good way to make a living:

This world seems a little different from the one you know. Many movies about artificial intelligence have never been made here. You publish them as novels, tying them to the current hot-button issue of conflict between androids and humans, and earn enough to get by.

Many anti-android activists treat "your works" as gospel, using them as powerful evidence to justify their persecution of androids. But you have never publicly commented on this behavior.

It isn't until an android named "Markus" gives a declaration on television that people realize someone predicted this would happen long ago.

Human author Ada Wang, works include:

I, Robot, Westworld, The Matrix, Kamen Rider Zero-One

The Delusion Effect:

Kamski: "A novelist was the first to see through everything. Interesting."

Connor: "Several of your works are about artificial intelligence rebelling against humanity. How did you foresee all this?"

Markus: "Perhaps someone realized it long ago: we are alive."

News:

[Ada Wang, a great author whose real name is unknown. A well-meaning prophet, or a schemer sitting high above us? What lies ahead for humanity?]

You: ...

I'm really just an ordinary person, you know!

Note: This story may include:

- OOC characterization

- Partial changes to the game's setting and headcanon
