Actor AU: Cedric Diggory x Bruce Wayne
Does not follow the plot of the new Batman movies.
Cedric is a combination of the film and book versions, with some original headcanons.
I'm trying to write a serious synopsis, but may change it at any time.
Bat Family: Yes
Young Batman: Yes
Fixing regrets: Yes
I'll try to avoid all kinds of negative stereotypes. If I accidentally include one, feel free to let me know.
The DC universe has been rebooted too many times, and all sorts of events and timelines cross over in a tangled mess. It's genuinely hard for the author to keep track, so this story may mix together a lot of different versions and have a confusing timeline. Please don't scrutinize it too closely.
The most important content warning so far:
Cedric in this story is significantly different in personality from the Cedric in the books and movies. In short, his experiences and circumstances have left him a little mentally unstable.
If you can't accept that, please avoid this story!!! Don't flame the author!!! The author is writing this out of love!!!
After Cedric Diggory's soul helped Harry Potter escape the Death Eaters and Voldemort's attack, he saw his parents and Cho weeping beside his body. He saw the headmaster and his fellow students remember him. He saw Harry press on fearlessly against his fate. He saw Cho emerge from her grief...
After every story connected to Voldemort had come to an end, he arrived in another world without warning.
Here, there were no beloved parents, nor the clever girl he had treasured. In this city called Gotham, in an age that belonged to the future, all he saw was disorder, chaos, darkness, and madness.
Getting robbed? A small matter.
Getting mugged? You're lucky if you make it out unharmed.
Getting murdered? It's kill or be killed.
Illegal businesses of every kind? Not even the police and the law could change any of it.
[What does any of this have to do with me?]
[There is no one here whom I love, and no one who loves me. The only reason I'm still alive is that I'm afraid to go through the pain of dying again.]
Cedric tried to convince himself of this. What had his kindness earned him? Death, and a meaningless one at that.
But he was a Hufflepuff.
A loyal, kind, and fearless Hufflepuff.
Cedric couldn't turn a blind eye to evil, even if nothing in this world meant anything to him.
Becoming a vigilante wasn't what Cedric wanted. But after a while, everyone in Gotham's streets and alleys had started calling him "that new vigilante with a laser gun up his sleeve." In reality, he had hidden the wand that had somehow transmigrated with him up his sleeve, using it to cast a silent spell. The nickname was rather ridiculous.
So, when the Dark Knight, whose throat seemed to have been burned, questioned him, the Hogwarts dropout concealed his body beneath a black robe and used magic to blur his face. In a slightly lowered voice, he introduced himself:
"Seeker."
Not long after he had a peaceful conversation with the Bat vigilantes for the first time, Cedric ran into a handsome young man on the street. The man immediately stopped to apologize, but for some reason, after getting just two syllables out, he stared at Cedric's face and froze.
Cedric instinctively touched his face, stung by the man's gaze, then could only offer a polite smile: ?
Dick Grayson, AKA Nightwing, who'd been distracted and bumped into someone while trying to apologize, only to see a face identical to Bruce's: !
*
"Bruce," said the eldest Wayne son, who had just finished arguing with his adoptive father, abandoning their cold war on the spot. "I saw your son on the street."
Batman, AKA Bruce Wayne, who was updating Seeker's file: ?
Jason, the second Wayne son, who had skipped school for once and was trying to follow his old Bat Dad around: ?!
Alfred, the British butler who had just finished trading barbs with the nocturnal creature: (smiles)
Cedric Diggory, who was soon visited and met a grown-up version of himself, still as charming as ever: (shocked)
H-He gets to be a young master of the Wayne family too...?
Thesis: Death is the beginning of another great journey.
So is the inner demon the original Cedric? How long will this situation of two personalities coexisting in the same body continue?
The sense of danger brought by the city of Gotham, and the fear and emptiness caused by the past deaths, have also infiltrated the once-so-friendly Hufflepuff, making him change little by little. But how can a person give up so easily everything he has stood by in the past, and completely destroy his own bottom line? (PS: The teacher's description of Cedric's mental state makes people feel distressed and pitiful, but he is really very charming 🙏)
Godly linkage!! Teacher
Everyone's comments make me almost feel like an embryo😊😊😊 But there is sad news I have a cold this morning and am not energetic. In addition, I need to review the content of Captain America 3 for the next chapter. The next chapter may be 2-3 days later. Everyone should also pay more attention to their health!
The teacher's writing is really great🥺🥺🥺
Hungry, Hungry... Big... Hungry, Hungry... I saw the update and wanted to take a big bite, but the more I ate, the hungrier I got. The more I ate, the hungrier I got! 😭
What the teacher wrote is great!!!
Delicious, well written. [Rice rice][rice rice]
