[Blades of the Guardians] Chasing the Wind and Sand

A second-person, female-oriented story based on Blades of the Guardians, with everyone falling for you. The author isn't very good at writing romantic storylines, so several characters may have one-sided feelings for you, but it's hard to say whether you'll return any of them.

There may be a yuri route (for example, with A Yuya).

* Includes an alternate-universe route for The Shadow's Edge, where the whole villain group survives and escapes. You can read this without knowing The Shadow's Edge; you only need to know:

Your adoptive father and Lao Mo are played by the same actor. Your older brothers Xi Wang/Xi Meng and He Yixuan are played by the same actor. Your younger brother Hu Feng and Yu Jiuniu Luo are played by the same actor. Your younger brothers Xiao Xin and Xiao Lai are played by the same actor.

* You have no set name, but the text uses the alias you're accustomed to: Yun Zhaolin.

* The much-anticipated woman-disguised-as-a-man scene.

* I'll leave the inspiration here for now, but since I want to write an all-romance story (that sounds familiar. I said that last time too, and ended up writing about two brothers), I plan to find time to catch up on the original manga (for example, Shu's background, how long he'd been a bodyguard, He Yixuan's life story, and the pasts of A Yuya and Yan Ziniang).

I've been busy visiting relatives for the New Year, so I may or may not finish writing this. For now, I'll keep updating it.

Synopsis (recorded on 26.2.21):

You are the adopted daughter of Shadow, an internationally wanted criminal, and a trainee inspector with the Macau Judiciary Police. At the office, you're widely praised. Usually mild-tempered, you're Yun Zhaolin, or Officer Yun, who handles cases with speed and precision (an alias).

You and Daddy and a few brothers have just given the police the runaround and finally gotten your hands on the huge sum of money in the digital vault. You're on a plane overseas when you open and close your eyes, and suddenly you're in an endless desert.

You: ...

Have all the bad things you've done finally caught up with you? Why now, of all times?

With you away, if Xi Meng gets into an argument with Dad, can Xi Wang hold him back?

Just as you try to distract yourself from the terrible headache, a familiar voice reaches your ears.

At first, you can't quite make out what it's saying. Then it draws closer and closer, until it's almost right against your ear.

"Child! Are you all right?!"

You struggle to lift your head and see a face identical to your dad's, except without glasses and looking a few years older. He's dressed in white from head to toe, and his eyes are full of concern. His whole demeanor has the kindly warmth of an elderly man you've seen before.

At last, you can't take any more surprises and shocks, or perhaps it's your body's condition. Your eyes roll back, and you pass out.

Theme: Love and hate both come and go in a rush, and everything is carried away by the wind.
