[The King's Avatar] The National Treasure Who Loves Okra

Qiuqiu is a giant panda cub living in City G.

The youngest of three panda triplets at the City G Wildlife Park, she was born frail and abandoned by her mother.

Fortunately, her keeper never gave up on her. With attentive care, they pulled her back from the brink of death.

Over the next three years, she became a miracle in the eyes of visitors. Her health, however, meant she rarely got to visit the viewing area and interact with the people who loved her.

But every so often, she would see a chatty blond visiting with her keeper, waving to her through the glass.

Her keeper told her that when the panda house was ready to give up on her, the blond had paid for the entire cost of her "pointless surgery."

From that day on, he often came by to greet her and the other pandas.

He always told her things she couldn't understand.

Like how he was a professional esports player, or how he was going to compete against Team XX that day.

She didn't understand what esports competitions were, but she could feel how full of positive, sunny energy he became whenever he talked about winning.

His hair was an "unfresh" color, yet in those moments, he seemed to brim with the vitality of spring bamboo shoots after the rain.

He was noisy, but she loved seeing him come by to share his victories with her.

Until that summer, when the frustration of the eighth season coincided with a death notice from the zoo.

All those little moments of happiness withered away in an instant.

The boy stared blankly at the little bottle of ashes his keeper handed him.

Quiet and withdrawn... It was an expression his teammates had never seen before.

Little did he know that the end of one life often marks the beginning of another, shining anew.
