Painting Moth-Eyebrow Stationery

Liu E was the eldest daughter of an official family. She traveled to the capital to clear her father's name, but someone murdered her for her money along the way. Her vengeful spirit remained trapped in a painting.

As she died, she swore she would return to take revenge.

She searched for the right person for three years, and at last found Qin Mo, the younger brother of her killer. She latched onto him.

Qin Mo was a poor, down-on-his-luck scholar who had repeatedly failed the imperial exams. One day, he took shelter from the rain in a shop with an old hen in his arms. He fell in love at first sight with the woman in a painting and traded the hen he was carrying for the portrait.

His elder brother and sister-in-law insisted he burn the painting. He would rather sever ties with them than destroy it.

The woman in the portrait could actually step out of it, and she often talked with him through the night. Rumors spread through the village. His fiancée, who was about to marry him, ran away with someone else and dumped him. The whole village laughed at him.

How could his brother and sister-in-law let her get away with it? A basin of dog blood, and Liu E's soul was scattered.

Qin Mo never married again. The fiancée who had once eloped with someone else was now a widow. Could it be that she had been waiting for him?

"She can go and stay wherever it's cooler..."
