My Monster Lover in a Box

Since birth, Toge Inumaki had always had a “being” by his side.

Neither human nor cursed spirit, it was pale, with black hair and pure white eyes, and followed him like a shadow within three steps.

To let him live like an ordinary child, when he was five, the being was invited into a specially made suitcase.

And so his “normal” life began.

At Tokyo Jujutsu High, he attended class while the suitcase sat beneath his desk. When he went on missions, he tapped the lid and asked, “Pollock roe?”

A pale hand would reach out from inside the case to clear every obstacle for him, then lean against his shoulder and enter a dazed “charging” mode.

Maki and Panda teased him: “So that suitcase... is your girlfriend?”

Inumaki pulled his collar higher. His face was bright red beneath his mask. “...Salmon roe!”

Of course not.

Probably.

[Highlight] Apologies for the OOC.

[Note] From Toge’s first-person perspective.

[Important] A short, unhinged piece of fiction.

Theme: With a bond the world cannot accept, it questions every rule society has about “normality” and “worth.”
