A crossover story with After Being Watched by a Gloomy Puppy
■ Unrequited love comes true | Bittersweet romance | Enemies become spouses
■ Sharp-tongued tsundere x timid coward who only dares to admire him from afar because of his sharp tongue
After Lian Zhi receives her terminal diagnosis from the doctor, she quickly looks back on her brief, reckless life.
She is timid, pretentious, and unscrupulous.
She even schemed to force her longtime crush and sworn enemy into getting engaged to her.
At their engagement party, just as she expected, Chao Wen doesn't give her the slightest bit of respect. He even leaves halfway through.
Gazing at the icy, knife-sharp look he throws her way,
Lian Zhi decides to be magnanimous for once before she dies and secretly tears up the engagement agreement.
But later, standing outside the operating room and looking at Chao Wen's handsome, cold-hearted face,
Lian Zhi wistfully imagines his future with someone else and can't help regretting her decision.
She steels herself and does the boldest thing she's ever done: she pins him down and kisses him by force.
It's not like she'll live to see tomorrow anyway.
Who cares!
The next day, when she opens her eyes, Lian Zhi discovers that she's still alive and well.
The nurse finishes her rounds and congratulates her: she'll be able to leave the hospital once she's recovered.
Chao Wen sits beside her bed with his arms folded, looking over the engagement agreement torn into pieces.
Then he lowers his gaze and stares at her without expression.
"You forced a kiss on me, then unilaterally called off our engagement."
"Lian Zhi, well done."
#Some people are alive, but she's already dead inside
