■ Reverse Tsundere | Mending a Broken Relationship | Atypical Amnesia

■ Sharp-tongued but soft-hearted x Stubbornly putting on a brave face

1.

Xia Ran and Meng Jinchen fell in love at eighteen and broke up at twenty-three.

Their different social standing, living in different places, and opposition from outsiders all stood between them.

Over the five years they were together, love barely got a look-in. There was far more cold war, misunderstanding, and resistance.

The endless arguments finally brought tears to Xia Ran's eyes.

She hid the medical report in her hand and said to Meng Jinchen, exhausted, "Meng Jinchen, let's break up."

That day, Xia Ran walked away without looking back.

Naturally, she never saw him, a man who had always cared about appearances, fumble his chopsticks twice and darken his expression in front of everyone.

2.

Her memories had gone back to when she was eighteen. Xia Ran called the only number left in her contacts and heard Meng Jinchen's cold, startled voice.

"I told you I'd kill you if I ever saw you again. How dare you call me?"

There was a long silence on the other end, just like always.

Just as Meng Jinchen was about to hang up,

she finally spoke, her voice tearful. "You were so mean to me right when we started dating, but I forgive you anyway, big brother."

Meng Jinchen: "...?"

"Can a bruise ever heal?"

"When we were clearly in love"

Tips:

1. The amnesia has a reason behind it, and the heroine chooses it herself.

2. They both put on a tough front and never say what they mean. They love each other a hundred percent but only show twenty, and that's what made things impossible to mend.

3. At heart, this is a bittersweet story.
