[Harry Potter] The Dark Wizard's Godson

[This Harry Potter fanfic can't be monetized, so I'm writing it purely for love. Updates will be irregular.]

The year the Chosen One started school, it seemed that every unusual thing had heard Merlin's call and begun arriving one after another.

When the name Beoning Grindelwald was spoken, the entire Great Hall fell silent for a moment, then erupted like water poured into hot oil.

Dumbledore accidentally smashed a plate. He lowered his head, his gaze crossing the noisy crowd to settle on a figure who looked almost familiar. Though his hair was white rather than blond, and his eyes were green rather than a bewitching pair of mismatched colors, still...

Still...

"So much like him. I almost thought..."

"Headmaster?"

The old man abruptly came to his senses, emerging from his hazy thoughts. He raised his wand and cleared away the broken pieces of porcelain.

"...No, it's nothing."

[Before you read]

1. The main pairing is Fenrir and an original character. The secondary pairing is GGAD, with a tiny bit of Drarry, though it's barely noticeable and can almost be taken as friendship.

2. I recently finished rereading Harry Potter and came up with this idea. The original books broke my heart.

3. The protagonist is GG's godchild, based on Jormungandr. After Ragnarok, they became a serpent's egg, and the passage of time eventually encased them in stone, making them one of the building materials used in Nurmengard. They only slowly hatched and awakened decades after GG was imprisoned. Bored, GG took them in and raised them. In the end, GG couldn't bear to let the child keep suffering, so five years after Beoning hatched, he secretly handed them over to one of his subordinates to take away, leaving behind communication equipment so he could stay in touch with the protagonist.

4. Beoning has sneaked into Nurmengard many times to visit their godfather.

5. Whether as a beast, a world-ender, or simply GG's godchild, the protagonist was never going to be a good person or a saint with upright values.

6. This is a blend of the films and the original books, with the original books as the main reference. It includes my own interpretations and original settings. If you don't like the writing, feel free to leave a reasonable comment, but don't attack the author.
