1.
Xie Jiuzheng's closest friend has gone missing.
The two met because a letter was mistakenly delivered to the wrong person. They discovered they had similar likes and dislikes, and often shared the same opinions.
Later, sharing trivial matters and encouraging each other became part of their daily routine. This connection lasted for many years.
Who could have guessed that after he sent his friend a once-in-a-millennium treasure, the person would run away?
2.
Qiao Xinglian transmigrated into a withered blade of grass in the Demon Abyss.
He had transmigrated into the world of a single-player game centered on "cultivating together with NPCs to level up." Fortunately, back when he played, he had only written letters to win the favor of powerful characters and obtain resources. He'd played it as a proper cultivation game.
Three hundred years had passed. Unless something had gone wrong, the promising character he'd chosen, the Sword Sect's first disciple with a handsome portrait, maxed-out talent, and a steadfast personality that made it hard to lose his favor, must have risen to the top by now.
He was happily preparing to meet his buddy in person when he heard the terrible news.
3.
The "Star of Tomorrow" had become a Sword Venerable, but he had an enemy named [Jiuxin Qiao]. This man had stolen his magical artifact and deceived him in love. The Sword Venerable hated him to the bone.
Qiao Xinglian's vision went black. He had no way to explain himself.
He was doomed.
He tentatively sent a letter to Xie Jiuzheng's mortal enemy, only to be hunted down. A kind-looking man he recognized rescued him along the way and took him back to his sect, where he somehow ended up becoming his disciple.
Black hair, white robes, radiant as the moon after rain. As the man sat high among the clouds and looked down, the morning bell rang
Qiao Xinglian stiffened, suddenly realizing who he was.
4.
On the first day after taking him as a disciple, Xie Jiuzheng gave him a protective jade pendant. It was like a sweet-coated bomb, and Qiao Xinglian stayed on high alert.
In the first week, Xie Jiuzheng gave him a book of swordsmanship insights. It was like a hot potato, and Qiao Xinglian was suspicious.
In the first month, Xie Jiuzheng gave him a strand of his life-bound sword intent. It was like licking honey off a blade, and Qiao Xinglian proceeded with caution.
But after a few months, everything remained peaceful. It seemed the earlier incidents had been coincidences, and perhaps Xie Jiuzheng hadn't recognized him.
He kept up the perfect image of a venerable master and never brought up the past. Perhaps he had already moved on.
Qiao Xinglian gradually let down his guard and settled into life as the Sword Venerable's first disciple, envied by all.
5.
Until one day, he accidentally trespassed into a secret chamber and was horrified by what he saw inside: countless portraits of himself.
The door slammed shut. His flawless master dropped his mask and advanced step by step, leaving him nowhere to retreat.
Qiao Xinglian trembled with fear. "Please, don't kill me."
The man only smiled faintly. "How could I bear to kill you?"
"You once said your name came from [chocolate with a liquor center], a specialty of your hometown. But for a hundred years, I've searched everywhere in the mortal world. I couldn't find you, and I never got to taste chocolate with a liquor center."
Xie Jiuzheng's icy fingers brushed up his bangs, tracing his features like a snake. He leaned close and spoke with playful intimacy.
"So now I'm going to 'eat' you."
"I'm sure you'll be even more delicious than chocolate with a liquor center."
Huh??? (°ж°`)!!!
Qiao Xinglian was so frightened his eyebrows nearly fell off.
His pleas were useless. That night, he was dragged back again and again, until his voice was hoarse from crying. No one came to save him.
6.
When Xie Jiuzheng was young, he met someone and gave them his whole heart, only to be cruelly deceived.
For years, he searched in vain, tormented day and night by his inner demons.
Yet by some strange twist of fate, one of his split souls saved a blade of grass, and then received a letter with different handwriting but a message exactly like the one from back then.
...Have I found you?
...I've got you. You can't get away.
"If you can't hold on to the moon in your heart, then capture a caged bird."
[The cover is a purchased, fixed character-design cover and may be reused. I've already commissioned art of the main characters, and I honestly think it looks incredibly, incredibly, incredibly, incredibly, incredibly, incredibly, incredibly, incredibly, incredibly good! It really is so good, ahhh! I'll change the character cards when I start posting the story, so please look forward to it!!]
