The Prophet, God, and God's Memoir

[The details may still change, but this is basically the premise. If anything changes, it'll only be a few small details.]

Zhou Suxuan had the sort of name that made him seem like no ordinary NPC. With a compassionate, almost saintly face, he looked like some enlightened hermit. In reality, he was a poor soul whom his relatives had passed around like a hot potato since childhood.

His relatives disliked him for two reasons. First, he looked strange. Second, all sorts of bizarre cases tended to happen around him.

Zhou Suxuan ignored their gossip, then fell into deep thought as he looked at the victims who had once bullied him.

His unusual upbringing had shaped an unusual personality. So when he found a notebook filled with accounts of future events, an extraordinary idea took root in his mind, and he eventually put it into practice.

In an age when the supernatural was returning, Zhou Suxuan was an ordinary person who used the notebook's contents to pass himself off as a prophet. He gained fame, wealth, and unprecedented attention. He also gained gratitude, friendship, and even a love he had never imagined.

Zhou Suxuan thought he would live this way for the rest of his life. But one day, the notebook updated with the exact date of the world's end.

Overwhelmed by despair and pressure, Zhou Suxuan retreated into his home and grabbed his boyfriend's hand. "Let's run away."

His boyfriend agreed.

The two of them went into hiding and shut themselves away from the world. Thinking these might be their last days, Zhou Suxuan agreed to everything he usually would have accepted, and even things he usually wouldn't.

As time passed, Zhou Suxuan watched the calendar pages turn and gradually sensed that something was off.

What happened to the promised apocalypse?
