[This is my first time writing, so there are lots of flaws. Read at your own risk.]
Good news: Liu Yan transmigrates into a spiritual qi revival novel, joins a cultivation academy, and discovers that on top of his ordinary three-element spiritual root, he has a hidden special ability. Once he reaches the later stages of cultivation, he can kill anyone who stands in his way, whether human or divine. He's practically a Tier 0 cultivator.
Bad news: That ability is exclusive to demonic cultivators. Having it means being ostracized by the entire cultivation world.
Bad news x2: So he's a demonic cultivator with extraordinary talent who accidentally exposes himself, a cannon-fodder character doomed to wander alone and die in solitude despite his boundless power. After his death, the protagonist of the book will find all his savings.
In other words, he's a walking resource pack who gives up his life to deliver loot.
Liu Yan: ...
What a joke. Whoever wants to be this walking loot chest can do it themselves.
He decides to hide his ability, pretend to be a talentless nobody, and lie flat in the cultivation academy's remedial class, living a comfortable life by taking advantage of cultivator benefits.
There are four students in the class, including Liu Yan. The other three are:
Student A, with five spiritual roots, is obsessed with painting and has no interest in cultivation.
Student B has no spiritual roots, but comes from a rich family and will just go home and lie flat if they can't cultivate.
Student C has four spiritual roots and is content just to pass.
He thought they would all be so alike that they could happily lie flat together. But then:
A takes an unconventional path to the top, reaching the pinnacle of combat strength with five spiritual roots; B cultivates a similarly broken special ability; and C teaches themself to modify their spiritual roots, then kills a top-ranked opponent single-handedly!
Meanwhile, somehow, he becomes humanity's hope.
Liu Yan: ?
Wait, are we really in the remedial class?
*
Liu Yan thought everyone in the world of the book was a native except him.
Until one day, while carrying out a student assignment with Student A, he sneaks into a villain's territory to look for clues. A minor underling jumps out and asks who they are. "I'm with Brother Wang. Who do you work for, Auntie Zhang or Uncle Li?"
Liu Yan launches a spell and makes something up on the fly. "Shanghai Auntie!"
The underling: "?"
Unexpectedly, A is the one who speaks up in shock from beside him:
"You transmigrated here too?"
Liu Yan x Student A (Fu Dangze)
Not a traditional level-up story. The plot has a lot of twists (or maybe that's a stretch), and the entire story has exactly one romantic pairing: the main couple.
This is a newcomer's first book, and it has plenty of rough spots, but I'll do my best to finish it. Thanks for reading ovo
(The gong looks like the one on the cover. I drew the cover myself (shy)

Next book (gong's perspective)
I'm Not the Most Hated Cannon Fodder [Quick Transmigration]
Xie Yizhao gets hit by a stroke of bad luck in the most literal sense on his way home from work. After he dies, he gets bound to a transmigration system.
The System tells him to play a universally despised cannon-fodder character, torment the protagonist of each book, and rack up enough hate points to be revived and sent home.
Xie Yizhao is already a seasoned contract worker, good at placating bosses and keeping clients happy. He nods at once. "Got it. Leave it to me."

World One: Cyberpunk Level-Up Story
Xie Yizhao plays a spoiled young master whom everyone hates. He has the future overpowered protagonist, currently just a poor kid, held down. With a sneer, he plants his black boot on the boy's thigh and slaps his left cheek.
Seeing the boy's reddened eyes, Xie Yizhao hears the notice that his hate points have gone up by one. Satisfied, he sits back and waits for the protagonist to master his powers later in the story and come back to take revenge on him, a mere cannon-fodder character.
But when the three-year deadline arrives, the protagonist returns like a dragon king, only to kneel before him, seize his slender ankle in a large hand, and turn his right cheek toward him. "Can you slap me one more time?"
(Note: The shou isn't a masochist, and he's not weak.)
World Two: ABO Narcissus Romance
The powerful gong protagonist travels back seven years to save his once-innocent self, who is also the shou protagonist. After a dramatic struggle against cannon fodder, side characters, and villains, they get their happy ending.
The role Xie Yizhao has to play is the alpha shou protagonist's omega fiancée, a jealous, vicious cannon-fodder character who dies young.
He devotes his life to tripping up his rival, the gong protagonist, and being the shou protagonist's lovesick follower. The day the protagonists finally confess their feelings, he gets what he deserves and is run over by a car.
To win the shou protagonist's affection, he plots against the gong protagonist, expecting revenge in return.
Instead, the gong protagonist pulls him close, runs his canine tooth over his gland, and speaks in a frenzied voice. "Do you like him that much? He and I are the same person. Why do you love him and not me?"
He says to the shou protagonist, "Hubby, hubby, you're my whole world. I'll spend my whole life revolving around you QAQ." He expects the shou protagonist to reject him and keep his distance.
Instead, the shou protagonist pushes him into a corner, reaches out to touch his gland, and leans close to his ear with a dark look. "Is that so? Then who left the mark on you? Is he as good as me?"
World Three: Infinite Flow
World Four: Tentatively, Sentinel and Guide
Xie Yizhao looks at his overflowing hate points and all the unrequited crushes, lost in thought. The protagonists clearly hate him, so why...
Why do they all love him so much?
This hatred can also be jealousy, or the resentment of someone who hates that the moon shines on everyone. But Xiao Xie doesn't get it :P
A gong who tries with all his heart to play a universally hated cannon-fodder character but becomes the protagonists' beloved x a shou split into many pieces and eventually made whole again. The shou pursues the gong.
