The Green Tea Stand-In

Actress Qin Lu transmigrates into an entertainment-industry novel and becomes the kept canary of domineering CEO Chu Xuan.

According to the story, she's a substitute for Chu Xuan's beloved, occupying the lower rung but always trying to take the beloved's place.

In the end, she develops a terminal illness, gets thrown out, and dies on the street.

Qin Lu: "Are the younger girls not cute, or is the money not good?"

In front of Chu Xuan,

Qin Lu puts on an Oscar-worthy performance, eyes brimming with tears. "CEO Chu, I'm just her substitute. I promise I won't complain."

Chu Xuan sneers and tosses her a black card. "Spend the money. And keep being just like her."

With the money, Qin Lu hits the clubs, flirts with rising actresses, and thrives in the entertainment industry.

One day, Chu Xuan goes to a hotel for a business meeting and accidentally sees

A popular rising actress linking arms with Qin Lu: "Sis, come to my place tonight."

Her rival arrives to pick her up in person: "What's so great about CEO Chu? Why go see her first?"

Qin Lu smiles brightly. "How else could I have fun with you all without her money?"

Consumed by jealousy, Chu Xuan grabs her wife by the hand. "We're going home."

When they get home, the beloved is standing at the door, smiling faintly. "CEO Chu, have you forgotten about me already?"

Qin Lu weeps like a flower in the rain. "I'll leave right away. I hope you two will be happy together. Does your offer to give me money still stand, CEO Chu?"

Chu Xuan's face turns livid. "No, it doesn't. And we're not getting divorced!"

Cool, elegant CEO x scheming, drama-loving green-tea female supporting character.
