Substitute Lover [GL]

(Told in third person.)

Top-tier starlet Ye Wenshuang is injured on set. Award-winning actress Bo Tingxue skips the premiere and hurries over by car, personally carrying her into the ambulance, her eyes full of concern.

The fans at the scene are moved to tears. Outside the set, I stand in the rain, waiting for her to celebrate the only wedding anniversary we've had in four years.

No one knows that I'm Bo Tingxue's wife.

*

In the four years we've been together, Bo Tingxue has never mentioned my name in public.

Ye Wenshuang is the darling of the heavens, while I'm merely her dance double.

Four years ago, Ye Wenshuang became a star overnight with her dance in Butterfly Bones, securing her place among the top-tier starlets. I injured my lower back while doubling for her in that scene, and could never dance again.

To make it up to me, Bo Tingxue gave me complete freedom to choose what I wanted.

I'll never forget the shock and disgust in her eyes when I asked her to marry me.

*

I've done many things to keep Bo Tingxue by my side.

I died for her once.

I gave up dancing and acting to become Ye Wenshuang's assistant.

All I had for company were the portraits in my bedroom, which she mocked for failing to capture their subjects' true likeness.

Later, Bo Tingxue left Ye Wenshuang behind and frantically searched the world for me.

Sitting in a car, I look through the window at Bo Tingxue's wretched state and speak to the lover I haven't seen in so long.

"Look, she's nothing like you."

*

A calm-hearted dance double x a fiercely devoted, obsessive actress. Both of them have someone else in their hearts.

Neither is a virgin. A melodramatic story. Anything can happen, so read with caution.
