After I Bound Myself to the Beautiful-but-Tragic Character System

Yu Qing's life went along like clockwork for the first eighteen years.

Until one day, Yu Qing made a contract with the System.

[System: Congratulations, Host, you've activated the 'Tragic Beauty Simulator'! While the simulator is active, do your best to play your role and make the protagonists unable to forget you!]

Yu Qing thought it would be a huge challenge, but before he even had a chance to try, he was stunned by the protagonists' sorrowful, regretful gazes.

Yu Qing, hesitantly: Does this count as a freebie?

Competitive sports set:

He is a figure skater whom his coach considers mediocre.

Only the protagonist insists on seeing the bright spots in him, encouraging him that even a firefly can light the way ahead! But who could have guessed...

Yu Qing isn't a firefly at all. He's the sun!

Later, the sun set.

*

Zombie school set:

When the zombie horde breaks out, he is a doddering flower who watches everything coldly from the villain's side.

Only the protagonist believes he is kind by nature, never giving up on showing him kindness, even when he is in dire straits.

But no one expected that this weak kindness would become the poison that killed him...

Later, everyone got a new life. Only he was left behind forever.

*

Esper mind-game set:

He is a lunatic in the Esper Special Affairs Bureau, someone everyone avoids.

Only the protagonist doesn't mind his strange behavior, appreciates him, guides him, and makes the tarnished jade shine brilliantly.

Everyone thinks he can keep shining forever...

Later, the dazzling light went out.

The attitude toward Yu Qing on the forums for each set changed from dislike at first, to affection later, and finally to grief.

Yu Qing's portrayal as a tragic beauty was a huge success!

Just when Yu Qing thought everything was finally about to end, the worlds merged.
